The General Directorate of the National Police of Haiti (DGPNH) was forced to cancel on Wednesday June 12, 2024, all activities relating to the celebration of its 29th anniversary due to the assassination on June 9 of 3 police officers from the ‘UTAG. For the 29th anniversary of the institution, the Director General Frantz Elbé warns the bandits that “June 9, 2024 will not be March 12, 2021”.
THE HAITI FACTOR, June 13, 2024._Yesterday Wednesday June 12, 2024 marked the 29th anniversary of the Haitian National Police serving the population.
On the occasion, the acting Director General of the PNH, Frantz Elbé had a thought for the police officers killed in the exercise of their duties, in particular the agents of the SWAT TEAM and those of the UTAG assassinated respectively on March 12, 2021 and 9 June 2024 in Village de Dieu and Delmas 18.
He suggested that “June 9, 2024 will not pass like March 12, 2021.”
Despite his warning to the murderers of the sons and daughters of the PNH, the Acting Director General of the PNH recognizes the bandits have large caliber weapons. Which completely changes the security situation in the country.
However, he declared loud and clear that the institution does not intend to back down in its fight to pacify the country in unity.
He took the opportunity to discuss the combined efforts by the institution to strengthen the operational capacities of the institution, in particular through the purchase of equipment, the creation of the UTAG, the drone unit, of the permanent vetting office, as well as the sanitation of the PNH administration.
Frantz Elbé welcomed the contribution of the international community in strengthening the institution.
