Class megalomania, mortal rage of Hati.

class-megalomania,-mortal-rage-of-hati.

By Camille Loty Malebranche

Class megalomania is the root of the criminal and exterminating corruption of officials in Haiti…

There are three strangenesses which, mentally and culturally, block and alienate the relationship of a good number of Haitians with their own country and which have condemned Haiti to opprobrium for two centuries:

1) the “bourgeoisist” delusion of certain layers of the middle classes.

2) the quasi-autoracist color ideology of a society that does not love its ethnicity.

3) the morbid tendency towards folklorism rejecting thinking and acting rationality in the face of challenges.

DELIRY OF ARRIVISM

Delirium of arrivism either of the arrogant upstart or at least nothing in difficulty of filling his emptiness, what should be called “bourgeois” megalomania, constitutes the first self-destructive evil of Haiti, a class megalomania where the middle class element inducted president or minister believes he must devour all the country’s resources to show his success! A terrible evil, perhaps of all the evils gnawing at Haiti, the most terrible there is! But as I say elsewhere, it is a country where the looting of public coffers takes place without looters because all the high and middle civil servants of the State are men who have worked hard to be rich, a bit like this ex Macoute minister met at a café in Montreal who were puffing up and stupidly proclaiming themselves “bourgeois”! A hilarious and stupidly contemptible thing to say about yourself, especially when you have been responsible for public funds in a government whose president’s name resonates as one of the worst embezzlers of public funds there is! Because there is and cannot be any innocent person, if only through complicity with the great financial criminal, not to say the great criminal tout court, heir to the vilest criminal against humanity of the recent history of Haiti.

But Haiti is the only country in the world where crime exists without criminals! There, we are faced with a pathology of certain layers of the “middle classes” whose only existential goal is to ape the bourgeois and access the public service to plunder and become what they believe they should be. By the way, the word bourgeois is a concept from the social sciences and one is not bourgeois only by being rich in capital but by being a producer of goods or services marketed at a high industrial stage. That said, bourgeois people are extremely rare in Haiti, and I speak of this without moral consideration because morality and ethics concern all classes in their relationship to this mitsein that is society!

I am clear, he is a thanatos, a sort of deadly self-representation immanent in the Haitian mind, which condemns the country to self-destruct, a madness of grandeur that I could call “ape-like bourgeoisism” of the middle classes. There, we also find what we must call the “lumpenness” of a good part of our so-called elites, in other words, the elites in rags “lumpen bourgeoisie”, “lumpen aristocracy”.

I will stop here, perhaps I will come back to comment on the two other self-destructive monstrosities of our dear Haiti. That said, they speak for themselves like the one we just skimmed over.

In the meantime, as I have already written, I remind you: the monster is in our culture, our weltanschauung (our vision of the world, here vision of the country, of our role and our relationship to ourselves and our country). It is about our perception of ourselves as a people, our conception of our material and immaterial connections, that is to say institutional, symbolic and mythological, with the State, the Nation, but also with our peers, our fellow citizens. .

Haiti (Haitians) must change its mentality or it will disappear into the abyss of its suicidal mental wanderings and its bicentennial self-destructive behavior! I know, our community loves the sycophancy of vices and the flattery of corruption, but will the rising generation have to set foot in this cesspool of infamy to put an end to it and think of the new Haiti!

To the intelligent and good-faith readership, hello, God bless you!
