Daniella Jacques, figure who embodies leadership and commitment to positive change

Daniella Jacques, one of the emblematic figures of female leadership in Haiti, has transformed her many experiences and vast knowledge into a remarkable career, marked by an unwavering commitment to women’s rights, entrepreneurship and community development .

Training and professional beginnings

Daniella Jacques’ impressive trajectory begins with a solid academic background. His studies in political science, conflict management and electoral administration, combined with an advanced degree in journalism, laid the foundation for his understanding of social and political dynamics. She then enriched her career with a master’s degree in business administration and a diploma in international marketing management. This combination of training allowed him to develop multidisciplinary expertise, essential for his future commitments.

US Department of State Scholarships – IVLP

Two US State Department fellowships were major turning points in Ms. Jacques’ career. In 2006, she participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), a transformative experience that inspired her to found the AGIRAD organization. AGIRAD is dedicated to supporting young single mothers and disadvantaged children in Haiti, providing crucial support and helping to break the cycle of poverty.

In 2014, Daniella Jacques once again benefited from the IVLP program, this time focused on female entrepreneurship. With this new experience, she created the Chamber of Commerce of Women Entrepreneurs of Haiti (CCFEH), a space of support and collaboration for Haitian women entrepreneurs. The CCFEH plays a crucial role in promoting female entrepreneurship and the economic empowerment of women in Haiti.

Entrepreneurship

Daniella Jacques did not stop at these initiatives. In 2022, she founded Dynamic Konnecting, a brokerage firm offering a range of services to international businesses. In 2021, she initiated the creation of Flamenco Gender Capital, an investment fund dedicated to financing women entrepreneurs in the Caribbean and Latin America. In 2018, she launched Gyzell Industries, a Haitian company specializing in agribusiness, particularly in the marketing of coffee, grains and vegetable oils. Since 2013, she has also been at the head of Tetra Consult, a consulting firm offering innovative solutions to businesses and organizations.

Initiatives for Women’s Empowerment

Ms. Jacques has launched several important initiatives for the empowerment and development of women. She is at the origin of the first Chamber of Commerce of Women Entrepreneurs of Haiti (CCFEH) and the Economic Forum of Women in Haiti. She also created the International Digital Women’s Summit (SIFNU) and Dofen News, a digital media platform dedicated to women.

Its commitment is also reflected in the Academy of Women’s Entrepreneurship, which trained 300 women across four departments of the country, and a program to support the capacity building of more than 100 organizations of women, young people and farmers across Haiti. In addition, she initiated a credit access program for more than 50 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in various fields, and trained several hundred women in women’s leadership, conflict resolution, active citizenship and political participation. .

Awards and Distinctions

The remarkable work of Daniella Jacques has been rewarded with numerous honors and distinctions. In 2023, she received the Plaque of Honor and Merit from the International Meeting of Women in Paris. In 2019, she was honored with the Excellence Award from the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action and the “Top 200 Changemakers” of the Tropics Business Awards. She also received the Prize “Middle Pole Woman” from JC Magazine, recognition by CONATEL,

the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Women’s Rights Award (MCFDF), the Young Active Citizen Award from the National Forum of Young Haitians (TNJH) and the title of “Change Maker of September” from the Your Mark on The World Show program. In 2004, she had already won the Human Rights Competition of the United States Embassy in Haiti.

Participation and Speaking

On the international scene, Daniella Jacques has established herself as an influential and inspiring voice. She has shared her expertise and ideas at numerous prestigious conferences and events, including the Symposium on Innovation and Technology for Women’s Empowerment in the Caribbean (Guadeloupe) and the Meeting International des Femmes (Paris) in 2023.

She also participated in international forums such as the 7th National Capacity Assessment (Turin, Italy) in 2022, the Conference “Women STEMpreneurs creating global business” (Paraguay) and the General Assembly of the Network of Francophone Actors for South-South and Tripartite Cooperation (Libreville, Gabon) in 2019, and many others.
