The United States Ambassador to Haiti Dennis Bruce Hankins paid a courtesy or inspection visit to the Prime Minister’s Office to meet Prime Minister Garry Conille.
Should we recall that this ambassador is a real proconsul in the country, just before the appointment of the Prime Minister had he not urged the Presidential Transitional Council in these terms “ We look forward to a transparent process that will allow Haiti to have a prime minister and a transitional government, selected on the basis of technical merit and impartiality.”
This visit on Tuesday morning, June 11, 2024 could well be part of accelerating the publication of the decree appointing the new ministerial cabinet, which lasted too long, around two weeks, after the appointment, by the Presidential Transitional Council (Cpt ), on Tuesday May 28, 2024, from the United Nations official, Garry Conille, to the post of Prime Minister.
Also, at the beginning of this afternoon, the decree of the Presidential Transitional Council (Cpt), appointing the 14 members of the ministerial cabinet of the new Prime Minister Garry Conille, was published in the official newspaper of the republic “Le Moniteur” , then posted shortly after on official government accounts.
The 14 people appointed are: Garry Conille, head of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities (Mict). Ketleen Florestal, head of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (Mef) as well as the Ministry of Planning and External Cooperation (Mpce). Dominique Dupuy holder of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs (Maec) as well as the Ministry of Haitians Living Abroad (Mhave). Marie Françoise Suzan holder of the Ministry for the Status of Women and Women’s Rights (Mcfdf), Niola Lynn Sarah Devalis Octavius holder of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (Mjsac).
Carlos Hercule is appointed to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (Mjsp). Vernet Joseph at the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development (Marndr). Raphaël Hosty is appointed to the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Communications (Mtptc). James Monazard at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (Mci), and the Ministry of Tourism. Moïse Jean-Pierre Fils at the Ministry of the Environment (Mde). Antoine Augustin at the Ministry of National Education and Professional Training (Menfp), and the Ministry of Culture and Communication (Mcc). Georges Wilbert Franck at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (Mast). Georges Fils Brignol at the Ministry of Public Health and Population (Mspp) and Jean Marc Berthier Antoine holder of the Ministry of Defense.
Among other points that were discussed between the ambassador and the Prime Minister, the question of the security crisis and the support of the United States for the Multinational Security Support Mission was not neglected because this Announced occupation is vital to the United States under the Global Fragility Act or GFA, which was passed in 2019 under the Trump administration.

This meeting between Ambassador Hankins and Prime Minister Garry Conille demonstrates the continued commitment of the United States to not let Haiti escape from its neocolonial domination.
