FC Barcelona part ways with their coach Xavi Hernandez, with Hansi Flick tipped to replace him.

FC Barcelona officially announced this Friday, May 24, the dismissal of its coach Xavi Hernandez, a decision which comes only a few weeks after ensuring that he would complete his contract. Club president Joan Laporta finally decided to part ways with Xavi this Friday, after a morning meeting with Deco and the coach.

Xavi, who announced his departure from the club in February before changing his mind and confirming that he would stay until the end of his contract, finally leaves the Barcelona bench after two and a half seasons. He will bid farewell to Barça during the last match of the season, this Sunday against Sevilla at the Ramon Pizjuan stadium.
