No less than 455 police officers join the ranks of the specialized units of the National Police of Haiti (PNH). The latter, who benefited from specialized training, received their parchments from the High Command of the institution on Tuesday, June 18, 2024. police officer during a ceremony held at the National Police Academy (ENP), on the Route de Frères, in the Commune of Pétion-Ville, Western Department of the country.

THE HAITI FACTOR, June 18, 2024._Specialized units of the Haitian National Police (PNH) such as the BRI, SWAT, UTAG, Polifront, CIMO, BOID, BLVV and UDMO, among others, are reinforced by 455 police officers .

These new agents, many of whom come from the 33rd promotion of the PNH, have received specialized training in order to integrate the aforementioned units.

After completing the training, they collected their parchments on Tuesday June 18, 2024 during an official ceremony held at the National Police Academy. Event attended by the Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police, Frantz Elbé, the President of the Presidential Transitional Council, Edgard Leblanc Fils, the Prime Minister also head of the CSPN, Garry Conille and the Minister of Justice, Me Carlos Hercules as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, the Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian Police, Frantz Elbé emphasized the importance of strengthening the structural and operational capacities of the institution he leads.

The #1 of the PNH suggested that the arrival of these new police officers to reinforce the specialized forces is crucial in the fight against banditry in all its forms.

The President of the Superior Council of the National Police (CSPN), Garry Conille, congratulated the sense of sacrifice and duty of the police officers engaged in the battle to restore order and peace in the country.

Prime Minister of his State, Garry Conille promises that his government will continue to support the Police to help it strengthen its operational capacities.

In turn, the President of the Transitional Presidential Council, Edgard Leblanc Fils, declared that the presidential structure will do everything possible to better supervise the Haitian National Police, in its actions aimed at dismantling gang centers. And this, he continues, to allow peaceful citizens to freely go about their activities.

Also, it should be mentioned that these 455 police officers join the ranks of the specialized units two (2) weeks after the shooting of bandits on Sunday June 9, 2024, in Delmas 18, of three (3) agents of the Temporary Unit Anti-Gang (UTAG).
