Haiti – Politics: Important meeting of the CPT on the establishment of the National Security Council

On Wednesday May 22, 2024, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) held an important meeting concerning the establishment of the National Security Council (CNS). This meeting brought together national experts, professionals from the diaspora as well as other personalities, in accordance with articles 25, 26 and 27 of the Agreement of April 3, 2024.
The main objective of this meeting was to define an effective response to the various aspects of the security crisis facing our country.
Under this Agreement, the CNS is responsible for defining and overseeing arrangements for international security assistance, in accordance with United Nations Security Council Resolution 2699.
This mission will be accomplished in close consultation with all stakeholders concerned, as well as national and international experts.
