The Presidential Transitional Council, through its President Edgard LEBLANC Fils, proceeded this Wednesday, June 12, 2024 to the installation of Prime Minister Garry CONILLE and members of the Ministerial Cabinet.
The ceremony took place at the Welcome Villa, in the presence of almost all of the President-Advisors, the President of the Court of Cassation, the Acting Prime Minister and outgoing ministers, representatives of the political sector and civil society, foreign ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps and the international community.
In his speech for the occasion, the President of the Transitional Presidential Council highlighted the various points appearing in the roadmap given to the new Transitional Government.
Edgard LEBLANC Fils wanted to remind the Prime Minister and members of the Ministerial Cabinet that article 45 of the Decree of April 3, 2024 for a peaceful and orderly transition defines the main missions of the Transitional Government. He cites, among other things, the reform and strengthening of national security forces, the fight against insecurity, corruption and impunity.
Furthermore, the President of the CPT invites the Government to work jointly with the Presidential Council in order to curb the multidimensional crisis facing the country.
For his part, Prime Minister Garry CONILLE, while saying he is aware of the immensity of the work to be accomplished, says he is ready to commit body and soul to working to improve the living conditions of the population.
