Police operation in Gressier, several bandits arrested, assault rifles and cell phones confiscated.
During operations undertaken by the Haitian National Police in the commune of Gressier for almost a week, several armed bandits were killed this Sunday, May 19, 2024, in exchanges of fire with the police. This was announced by the Police on their Facebook page.
Still according to the PNH, assault rifles and cell phones were confiscated during this targeted intervention.
The Police recall that the collaboration of the population remains a major asset for the police institution in the accomplishment of its missions.
The town of Gressier was attacked by bandits on May 11. The city police station was stormed.
Several vehicles parked in the police station parking lot were set on fire by the gangs. Residents were forced to flee the area to escape the violence of criminal groups.
