The general director of the FNE, Jean Ronald Joseph, continues to denounce a smear campaign against his person

The general director of National Education Fund (FNE), Jean Ronald Joseph, during a press briefing given this Tuesday, April 16, returned to the allegations, he said, which aim to tarnish his image and that of other executives of the institution. After justifying his salary, pointing out the bad behavior of the former head of the IT department, he denounced a smear campaign against him.

He recalls that long before the management of the FNE became a burning issue in social networks, he had asked the Superior Court of Accounts and Administrative Disputes (CSCCA) to audit his management at the head of the institution for the period going from December 21, 2021 to January 31, 2024. “We believe in the rule of law and in accountability, which is why we referred to the CSCCA, since these matters should not be dealt with in the public arena”did he declare.

To accomplish one of its missions which consists of the construction of school infrastructure, the FNE is obliged to award public contracts, argued Jean Ronald Joseph. Consequently, he added, the FNE has always respected the rules to the point that the National Public Procurement Commission awarded the National Education Fund, for the year 2023, a plaque of honor for have scrupulously respected public procurement procedures.

“This smear campaign will not affect the performance of the institution. We are committed to accomplishing our mission within the framework of the law”indicated the Director General of the National Education Fund who also underlined the need for the institution to communicate more, particularly on the 52 projects in progress and the 16 Schools awaiting inauguration.

Faced with the allegations and accusations relayed via social networks in recent days, the director indicated that employees of the institution have already filed a complaint before the country’s courts to clear their image.

Furthermore, the general director of the National Education Fund, Jean Ronald Joseph, recalls that the FNE is engaged in the construction of school buildings with particular attention to the Great South since the earthquake, and the purchase of school furniture. The FNE pays 4,000 contract workers on behalf of the national Ministry of Education, grants educational subsidies to Haitian students abroad, and supports the network of private universities.
