THE ANARCHISM OF PRESIDENT ABINADER

Dominican President Luis Abinader seems to want to forget and disregard the international laws which govern the stay of foreigners in a country of hospitality. If it is permissible for a State to expel illegal immigrants from its territory at will, the same does not apply to foreigners who have legally established themselves there, covered by their resident status, owning residences. or businesses. They are protected by international law and through anti-Haitian anarchism, Dominican President Luis Abinader intends to single out his management of the state. Even having resigned, the Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs should have summoned the Dominican ambassador to Haiti for an explanation and denounced such offensive behavior before Caricom, the OAS and the UN.
With regard to Haitian-Dominican relations, these three international bodies too often demonstrate discriminatory complacency towards the Dominican Republic in defiance of the principles of civilized international society. The diplomacy of hypocrisy is perverse and dangerous. That of sincerity and fairness is more likely to bring people together, to found coexistence and guarantee peace.
The violation of international law cannot be internationally acceptable under any pretext except for the return of barbarism with its bloody and criminal adventures.
