The National Association of Haitian Court Clerks (ANAGH) says it is observing a truce in the indefinite strike resumed on December 12, 2023 to demand better working conditions from the Ministry of Justice. It is the President of the structure, Martin Ainé who has made the announcement on Monday May 27, 2024.

THE HAITI FACTOR, May 27, 2024._More than 5 months after the resumption of the Clerks’ strike across the country’s 18 jurisdictions to demand a salary adjustment and the granting of the debit card, the strikers are called for a truce by the National Association of Clerks Haitians (ANAGH).

The truce follows compliance with the 2nd part of point 5 of the agreement of November 3, 2017 initialed between ANAGH/SYGH and representatives of the Ministry of Justice.

According to Me Martin Ainé, the said agreement consists of granting the Registrars, Public Prosecutors and Bailiffs the amount for the debit card by a check.

“Thus, subject to continuing with negotiations for the full application of the agreement of November 3, 2017 and that of May 27, 2019, ANAGH has decided to observe a truce in the strike resumed on December 12, 2023,” wrote Martin Ainé.

With all this in mind, the National Association of Haitian Court Clerks (ANAGH) asks the Court Clerks to remain united and attached to the said agreements by urging them to return to work as soon as this is released.

The said association makes the recommendation to facilitate the normal functioning of the judicial system.
