The probable passage of a Tropical Wave over Hispaniola and a low pressure center could generate rainy activities in the country.
According to the Haiti Hydrometeorological Unit (UHM), a surface trough and a tropical wave located to the east of Cuba and the Dominican Republic have maintained a humid and unstable atmosphere over a large part of the Greater Antilles since Monday June 3, 2024 in the afternoon.
It is highlighted for this Tuesday, June 4, 2024, that a center of low pressure at the level of the Caribbean Sea and the probable passage of a Tropical Wave (OT5) over Hispaniola could generate rainy activities in the country, mainly in the departments of Nippes, Grand’Anse, West, Artibonite, Center, North and North-West in the afternoon and evening.
Regarding the forecast for Port-au-Prince and its surroundings, it is informed that this Tuesday, June 4, the sky will be cloudy this afternoon and very cloudy in the evening; feeling hot this afternoon and evening; maximum temperature, 33 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature, 20 degrees Celsius; some rainy activities with some thunderstorms and episodes of wind remain possible at the end of the afternoon and in the evening in certain areas.
