THE HAITI FACTOR, June 4, 2024._An attempted hijacking of a tanker truck carrying fuel, initiated by bandits, was foiled midday on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, by police officers aboard an armored tank, at Carrefour de l’Aéroport.
When the police intervened to repel them, the bandits opened fire on the truck. Images taken by a reporter from the newspaper showed bullet holes in the back of the truck, causing it to explode.
As a result of the flammable liquid filtering, many goods from small retailers on display at Carrefour de l’Aéroport went up in smoke.
