Real du Cap, one of Haiti’s most prominent football clubs, is actively preparing for the Caribbean Cup, which will begin on July 22. To strengthen its squad and maximize its chances of success, the club announces the return of two former players and the arrival of two new recruits. This strategy aims to address the team’s current shortcomings and allow it to shine in the competition.

Return of Former Players

According to a statement released by one of Real Cape Town’s press officers on social media, the club will benefit from the return of two former players, Johnnson Jeudy and Angelot Exilus. These two players, who previously played in Trinidad with Eagles FC, bring valuable experience and expertise.

Johnnson Jeudy: A midfielder, Jeudy is considered the key piece of Real du Cap. He has played in all the national teams except the senior team, namely the U-17, U-20 and U-23. Jeudy has already spent nearly six years in the colours of Real du Cap, where he was crowned champion in 2018 (first leg) and vice-champion in 2019 (second leg). His return is seen as a major asset for the team.

Angelot Exilus: Former top scorer in the championship with Real du Cap, Exilus had scored 13 goals during his previous stint at the club. The right winger, renowned for his great quality of play, is considered a key element for the next competition. His return should strengthen Real du Cap’s attack.

New recruits

In addition to the returns, Real du Cap announces the arrival of two new players, Huguens Michel and Peterson Pierre Louis, who come to strengthen the team’s defense.

Huguens Michel: An experienced central defender, Michel played for ASC and Cavaly before joining Eagles FC. His defensive solidity and experience will be crucial in stabilizing Real du Cap’s back line.

Peterson Pierre Louis: Former right back for Don Bosco de Pétion-Ville, Pierre Louis is known for his combativeness and elegance on the field. Capable of playing both as a winger and a right back, he brings valuable versatility to the team. His ability to shoot from afar could prove decisive in key moments of matches.

Real Cape Town enter the Caribbean Cup with a squad strengthened by the return of experienced players and the integration of quality new recruits. These strategic additions demonstrate the club’s ambition to not only progress through the competition but also to aim for an exceptional performance. Real Cape Town supporters can be optimistic about the prospects of their team, which appears well prepared to face the challenges ahead.
