With the return of heat, hydration becomes essential.

But we all know that drinking 2 liters of water a day is not always easy, especially with the sun, the terraces and the desire to relax in summer which often pushes us towards a good cold beer or excessively sugary drinks.

Fortunately, PasseportSanté has a solution for you: lemonade!

Perfect for replacing sodas, more refreshing than water, it will become your ally during summer aperitifs. We reveal the ideal lemonade recipe. Simple to prepare, it will only take 2 minutes of your time and will be a sensation around the pool.

Light lemonade: the PasseportSanté recipe

To make a refreshing lemonade that is low in sugar and that you can consume – almost – without moderation, Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • 1.5 liters of water,
  • 6 untreated lemons,
  • 4 tbsp agave syrup,
  • 1 handful of fresh mint leaves.

Start by heating 200 ml of water in a saucepan and mix in the sirop d’agave until completely dissolved. Squeeze four lemons to extract the juice, then add it to the hot, sweetened water. Pour the mixture into a glass carafe to preserve the taste and prevent oxidation, then top up with fresh water to the level.

Cut the last two lemons into thin slices and add them to the drink. To intensify the flavors, take a handful of mint leaves, lightly clap them between your hands to release the aromas, then add them to the lemonade. Keep the drink in the refrigerator for 2 hours, then drink!

Homemade lemonade: what are its health benefits?

Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, Lemon water, or lemonade, is an excellent ally in case of digestive problems. The citric acid it contains stimulates the production of bile, enzymes and digestive juices.

It thus facilitates digestion, limits bloating and contributes to the rapid evacuation of toxins from the body. A diuretic food, lemon is also rich in fiber, which helps regulate the urinary system and intestinal transit.

Less caloric than sodas, our lemonade is therefore a perfect low-calorie substitute for sweeter drinks. To be consumed without moderation this summer!
