The Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Georges Wilbert Franck participated on Friday, July 19, 2024, in the graduation and conferral ceremony of a cohort of approximately 1,200 young people from several municipalities in the West. The latter, including girls, benefited from 400 hours of vocational training. On the occasion, the MAST holder encourages young people in the country to learn a professional trade to secure their future.

THE HAITI FACTOR, July 20, 2024._Around 1,200 young people from the communes of Port-au-Prince and Cité Soleil, among others, received their parchments on Friday, July 19, 2024, during a ceremony organized in Pétion-ville.

The recipients benefited from 400 hours of professional training under the high patronage of the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Brazilian NGO Viva Rio, among other institutions.

These young people received their diplomas in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Georges Wilbert Franck. In his speech, the MAST holder stressed the need to focus on the training of young people who represent the future of the country.

« There will be no future for the country without a strong youth and there will be no strong youth without policies aimed at training young people who are able to put their skills to the service of their personal interests and of the Nation.”hammered home Minister Georges Wilbert Franck.

As Minister of Social Affairs, Mr. Franck encourages the recipients to continue their training and calls on other young people who have not yet followed suit to learn a trade to secure their future.
