The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) is preparing to welcome 186,370 candidates for the 9th year fundamental exams, teacher training colleges, and family education centers. This information was communicated during a press conference on Thursday, July 18, 2024.

“As planned in the calendar of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, the series of state examinations will begin on Monday, July 22, 2024 with 183,142 candidates for the 9th year of basic education, 2,777 candidates for the Teacher Training College and 451 participants for the Family Education Centers,” we can read in a note on the ministry’s Facebook page.

The Minister of National Education, Augustin Antoine, stressed the importance of these tests, describing them as a key moment for the State and young people, despite the difficulties encountered.

“Official examinations are first and foremost a responsibility of the State, but they also concern the whole of society. This is why I call on everyone to join forces to ensure the smooth running of this operation, in the interest of all candidates,” declared Minister Augustin Antoine.

The Director General of the Ministry, Dr. Meniol Jeune, gave instructions to candidates to ensure the smooth running of the exams and requested the cooperation of all stakeholders. Renan Michel, Director of the National Bureau of State Examinations (BUNEXE), assured that all preparations are complete, including the distribution of entrance forms to the examination centers.

Kendy Nicolas, director of basic education, confirmed that the examination texts are ready and compliant. The West department, which will welcome 74,428 candidates for the 9th fundamental year, is also ready, specified Étienne Louisseul France, departmental director of education of the West.

According to the MENFP note, the director of basic education assures candidates that the exams will not be difficult, due to the quality of the texts provided by the MENFP, which are not different from the model available on the ministry’s website (www.menfp.gouv.ht). Kendy Nicolas claims that these tests meet all the educational criteria
