July 22, 2023: Haiti played its historic first match in the Women’s World Cup

Haiti fell on Saturday July 22, 2023 against England (1-0) during its entry into the competition of the ninth edition of the women’s world cup which took place in Australia and New Zealand. Despite a very good performance by Melchie Daelle Dumornay and her teammates, the national team was overthrown by the English, reigning champions of the European Cup. It was the Haitian team’s first historic match in a Women’s World Cup final phase.
