Haitian TikToker Emilie Lafortune won the “Public Choice” award in the “Web Creator” category during the 8th edition of the Gala Dynastie, which took place on Saturday April 27, 2024 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve at Place des Arts in Montreal, under the theme “Building Your Dynasty”.

In a post on social networks, she expresses her gratitude to her fiancé, her family and her community for their unconditional support, while expressing her astonishment at being rewarded alongside Canadian singer Cornelius Nyungura known as Corneille.

“I am living proof that dreams can become realities today I am a winner next to the great Corneille, I can’t believe it OMG. I would like to thank my fiancé who is my #1 supporter. To my family, you my beautiful community who supports me unconditionally and Gala Dynastie for allowing me to continue building my dynasty,” she wrote.

Organized by the Dynastie Foundation and supported by the TD Bank Group in collaboration with SODEC, the Dynastie Gala aims to highlight and celebrate the achievements of actors in the media, cultural and artistic fields within the black communities of Quebec. For seven years, this flagship event has honored more than 150 creators and highlighted the talent of more than 700 finalists.
