A delegation of Eminent CARICOM personalities is expected in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The members of the said delegation will disembark there with the aim of inspecting the significant progress made by Haitian actors in the context of the establishment of the Transitional bodies. The announcement was made on Wednesday, July 31 by the President of the Transitional Council Edgard Leblanc Fils.
THE HAITI FACTOR, August 2, 2024._Haiti will host a mission of Eminent Personalities from CARICOM on August 10, 2024. This was announced by the Coordinator of the Presidential Transitional Council, Edgard Leblanc Fils, at a press conference on Wednesday, marking his return from his participation in the 47th Ordinary Session of CARICOM Heads of State and Government in Grenada.
CARICOM emissaries are expected in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, with the aim of inspecting and learning about the significant progress made by the Haitian Government in training and operationalizing the Transitional bodies, continued the CPT President.
« Some bodies have already been formed and others are subject to decree, including the Steering Committee of the National Conference, the Commission for the Implementation of Penal Reform and the Provisional Electoral Council (CPT), among others.he told Dan’s press.
The delegation’s mission, unless there is a change of schedule, will end on August 16, 2024, according to the President of the Transitional Council, Edgard Leblanc Fils.
