A new tropical disturbance has appeared in the Atlantic Ocean.
According to the National Hurricane Center, an area of low pressure could form in the central or western tropical Atlantic early next week.
In their latest update, forecasters say: “Some development of this system is possible as it approaches the Lesser Antilles early to mid next week and then moves generally west-northwestward toward the Greater Antilles.”
The tropical wave currently has a near-zero chance of developing over the next two days, but the chances increase to 20 percent over the next week, according to the NHC assessment.
