After missing out on qualifying for the Olympic Games, Ava Lee proved her resilience by distinguishing herself at the Pan American Taekwondo Championship. On Thursday, May 2, she shone on the tatami with victories over Mexico and Brazil in the quarter and semi-finals respectively. Her impressive run took her to the final, where she faced the excellent Cuban Acosta Atletis.

Although the gold medal eluded her, Ava Lee showed her determination and talent by winning the silver medal. This remarkable performance earned him 30 valuable points in the Taekwondo world rankings, allowing him to improve his rank and get closer to his sporting goals.
