Alarmed by the degrading situation in the country, Father Ducarmel Édouard burst into tears in front of his faithful.
Faced with the current situation in Haiti, the Reverend Father Ducarmel Édouard, priest of the Marie Auxiliatrice parish of Sarthe, burst into tears in front of his faithful during a mass. The native of Port-de-Paix expressed his fed up to say: “too much is too much”. The religious’s video went viral on social networks.
“Too much is too much,” Father Ducarmel Édouard is indignant. “too many people die in a society. Too much is enough. God must speak,” he said with tears in his eyes.
When saying these words, the faithful present at this mass could not hold back their tears to show their sadness because of the situation in the country.
Acts of kidnapping, political turbulence, gang violence rage in the Haitian capital and in large provincial cities. The inhabitants of working-class neighborhoods are left to their own devices. They do not know which way to turn to face the armed conflicts which have caused hundreds of thousands of victims.
Currently, several citizens of the commune of Carrefour are in great difficulty as well as the inhabitants of the commune of Cité Soleil and those of the Plaine du Cul-de-Sac who are forced to leave their homes due to the security situation at the level of these areas.
Meanwhile, the government remains hopeful regarding the deployment of the multinational force to accompany the Haitian National Police in the fight against gangs. A Haitian delegation headed by the Minister of Justice, Emmelie Prophète, assisted by the Director General of the PNHFrantz Elbé, is in Washington, United States, to participate in a discussion around the last stage of the deployment of the multinational force in Haiti in the coming days.
