Widlyn Dornevil is appointed to the position of Executive Director of the AFS Interculture Canada Foundation.

The AFS Interculture Canada Foundation announced in a note, the appointment of Widlyn Dornevil to the position of Managing Director. In this role, he brings extensive expertise in strategic communications, philanthropic management and in-depth knowledge of international and community cooperation organizations.

In his statements, Widlyn Dornevil emphasizes that joining the AFS Interculture Canada Foundation as Executive Director is an exceptional opportunity to promote intercultural education and contribute to building a more inclusive, understanding and peaceful world. He says he is determined to develop strategies and partnerships capable of supporting the growth of the Foundation and inspiring more young people across Canada and the world.

Sofia Akande, president of this Foundation, informs that welcoming Widlyn Dornevil as Managing Director represents a major step for the organization.

Holder, among other things, of a master’s degree in communication and public relations from Laval University and having obtained various certifications from United Nations Training and research, the AFS Interculture Canada Foundation informs that Widlyn Dornevil has played various leadership roles within Canadian and international organizations and also several United Nations agencies.

Before joining the AFS Foundation and since 2020, Widlyn Dornevil was director of development and communications at the Sommet Jeunes Afro, a group of more than 60 Quebec organizations. His commitment to diversity and inclusion, as well as his ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, make him a valuable asset to the organization.
