Renaud revealed that this excitement in Port-au-Prince is the result of a tacit agreement between Ariel Henry, gang leaders and bandits.
Renaud also stressed that the acts of gang violence in Port-au-Prince are not intended to challenge the return of Ariel Henry, but rather to demonstrate internationally that gangs have taken the capital hostage.
Despite Ariel Henry’s statements on the probable organization of elections before August 2025, Mr. Renaud questioned his credibility, stressing that non-compliance with the agreement of December 21, 2022 casts doubt on the veracity of his “hallucinations”.
