FC Fleury scored a great victory this Saturday against Havre AC during the 8th day of the women’s D1, winning 2-0 at home thanks to goals scored at the end of the first half. A solid performance which allows the Fluriennes to confirm their current form and move into 5th place in the ranking.
The Fleury players were quick to show themselves incisive. In the 45th minute, it was Poland’s Dominika Kopinska who opened the scoring with a well-placed shot, allowing her team to take the lead just before the break. But it wasn’t over: 3 minutes into added time, Haitian international Batcheba Louis added to the lead by scoring a second goal. A double at the end of the half which made the difference and put Le Havre on the back foot.
With this victory, FC Fleury continues its good series, recording its fourth success in eight championship matches. The club is thus firmly positioned in 5th place in the ranking, with clear ambitions for the rest of the season. Le Havre, for its part, is struggling to take off and will remain at the bottom of the table after this defeat.
