During the sixth day of the women’s D1, Montpellier produced a brilliant performance by winning 7-0 against Guingamp, thus confirming its rise in power this season. Haitian international Kethna Louis scored the sixth goal of the match, adding her touch to a meeting dominated by Montpellier.
From the kick-off, Montpellier displayed overwhelming superiority. Léa Khelifi shone by scoring two goals, while Soufiya Ngueleu also contributed with two goals. Ifeoma Onumonu added a goal to her tally while providing an assist, while Rose Smith Kadzere performed the same, scoring a goal and providing an assist. Marion Torrent, for her part, was a real conductor by delivering two assists.
This victory allows Montpellier to climb to sixth place in the standings, now totaling 10 points. The team is showing promising signs and playing cohesion that could propel them to the top of the table in the coming weeks.
