Around twenty bandits were killed in Canapé-Vert, in Pétion-Ville, Delmas on November 19, 2024) by police officers and members of the population. The thugs, most of whom were on board a truck intercepted by the police, were trying to invade the town of Pétion-Ville very early.
Since then, residents of several districts of the capital have launched a hunt for the attackers following this incursion which caused a situation of general panic in the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince.
Meanwhile, the executive director of the National Network for the Defense of Human Rights (RNDDH), Pierre Espérance, encourages the Police/Population marriage to defeat the armed groups which terrorize the country. Thus, the human rights defender invites the bandits to go to a police station under penalty of being shot and lynched.
