ASVEL: Sepsi condemned for the outrageous gesture of its trainer on Gabby Williams

The verdict is in. The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has made a decision regarding the incident between the coach of the Romanian club ACS Sepsi-SIC, Zoran Mikes, and the Asvel player and member of the French team, Gabby Williams. Following Asvel’s report, FIBA ​​opened an investigation into an incident during the EuroLeague match between the French club and that of the city of Sfantu Gheorghe. The body sentenced Sepsi-SIC to a fine of 2,000 euros for the unacceptable behavior of their coach towards the player.

Behavior considered unacceptable

FIBA released a statement announcing the decision, stating that “the coach had unacceptable behavior with a player from the opposing team.” Gabby Williams accused the opposing coach of touching her butt during the match. The player declared on her social networks, which she then deleted during the investigation: “The opposing coach decided to slap my butt during the match. I told him not to touch me and his assistants started shouting at me. I asked a referee if he could touch me and he said yes, that he was calm.”
