THE HAITI FACTOR, August 8, 2024._The Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) confirmed on Thursday, August 8, 2024, through a press release, the tragic death of Biguerline Francklin, a Secondary IV student at the Lycée de Sibert, in the Croix-des-Bouquets school district.
According to Haitian education authorities, the 19-year-old student was killed in a road accident on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Butte-Boyer. The accident involved a tanker truck and the motorcycle that was transporting her to her official state exam headquarters for the 2024-2025 Baccalaureate.
Despite the steps taken to rush her to hospital, she breathed her last en route, according to the Ministry’s press release.
At the time of the collision, Biguerline Francklin was accompanied by her friend, Robens Stravensky Jean-Baptiste, we can read there. The latter, in shock after the accident, was able to continue to undergo the tests, informed the MENFP.
Ultimately, the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training said it expressed its sadness following the tragic death of Biguerline Francklin and sent its sympathies to her parents.
