  • After scoring his 24th goal of the season with the Bavarians, the Englishman equaled the goals record for a foreign striker in his first season.

Harry Kane continues to leave his mark on the Bundesliga with a string of remarkable performances. During Saturday’s match, where Bayern faced Borussia M’Gladbach, the English striker scored his team’s second goal, bringing his total to 24 goals during the first 20 days of the German elite. A feat which places Kane in an exclusive category since he joins Robert Lewandowski as the only player to have reached such a level of performance at this stage of the season.

Kane also equals Luca Toni

This exceptional achievement also allows him to equal the record held by Luca Toni, making Kane the most prolific foreign striker in his first season in the Bundesliga. A comparison which takes on its full dimension when we consider that only the illustrious Uwe Seeler did better across all nationalities, with 30 goals in 1963/1964. Kane, a former Tottenham player, can legitimately hope to equal or even surpass this mark given the 14 days remaining in the competition. Beyond his 24 goals scored from 81 attempts, Kane also shone as a passer, delivering five assists in the German championship. All competitions combined, his statistics stand at 28 goals and 8 assists in 27 matches.
