The beneficiaries of the BIDEN/HARRIS program will be able to board flights to the United States again starting tomorrow, Sunday, after a day of confusion. This information was confirmed by Le Nouvelliste.
“According to an airline official, instructions issued this morning by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) prohibited the boarding of persons in possession of a valid travel authorization. However, around 3 p.m., new instructions were received, authorizing the boarding of beneficiaries of the program,” Frantz Duval reported on his X account.
Today, travelers with travel authorizations in Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien were denied boarding due to confusion over initial instructions. The situation has caused inconvenience for many recipients hoping to reach the United States.
The return to normality should allow travelers to board tomorrow, ending the uncertainty that affected departures today. Airport authorities and airlines are now working to restore normal travel conditions for program beneficiaries.
