The President of the United States, Joe Biden, issued an executive order authorizing the Department of State to allocate a sum of 10 million US dollars for Haiti, this Tuesday, March 26.
According to information provided by the Voice of America (VOA Kreyol), this financial envelope aims to fight against crimes and drug trafficking which are rampant in the country, ravaged by violence.
It should be noted that this presidential decree is part of a foreign aid law adopted by the United States in 1961.
This announcement comes at a critical time for Haiti, as the country is plunged into chaos. The gangs, instigators of terror, are pushing the country to the brink of collapse, devastating almost everything in their path. Their destructive actions even affect vital institutions such as hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, schools and universities.
