In a context marked by accusations of corruption against presidential advisor Louis Gerald Gilles, the New Orientation Unified Party to Liberate Haiti (NOULHA) expressed its unwavering support for the Presidential Advisor two weeks later. The latter, despite the criticism and pressure he faces, continues to defend, according to his party NOULAH, his vision for the emergence of a New Republic.
The NOULHA Executive Committee published a press release on August 10 in which it warmly congratulated Louis Gérald Gilles for “his unwavering commitment to the fight for social justice, a fight that he has been leading with determination for more than 30 years.”
A former senator and doctor by profession, Gilles, who became a presidential advisor, remains a central figure for the middle class and the population, according to the party which underlines his ability to establish solid links across the different sectors of national life.
The NOULHA Party also highlighted Mr. Gilles’ efforts to address problems in Haiti’s health system, saying he is working closely with the government, the Minister of Public Health, and sector partners to provide lasting solutions.
Faced with the accusations brought against Louis Gérald Gilles, particularly in the context of the case involving the Banque Nationale de Crédit (BNC), NOULHA denounces what he considers to be attempts at destabilization aimed at tarnishing the image of a man he describes as a “worthy son of the Nation.” “Any maneuver aimed at tarnishing the image of the Presidential Advisor of the People is doomed to failure because the objectives he pursues transcend divisions,” indicates the political party.
In a press release, Montana and the January 30 collective demanded precautionary measures against the 3 presidential advisers involved in the BNC affair, including Louis Gérald Gilles. The Saga continues!
