In Cap-Haïtien, the United States Ambassador to Haiti met with women participating in the Women Entrepreneurs Academy program.
The United States Ambassador to Haiti informs that on August 20, 2024, the American Ambassador, Dennis Bruce Hankins had the pleasure of meeting with 25 extraordinary women participating in the Academy of Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) program in Cap-Haïtien. This day, according to a note from the Embassy, was a day very rich in energy and inspiration, with an instant mentoring session during which each entrepreneur had a one-on-one with the diplomat.
During this important meeting, Dennis Bruce Hankins was able to learn about the dreams and professional objectives of these women, and underlined the commitment of the Embassy to support women-led businesses within the framework of the AWE. “This is about strengthening local businesses and promoting sustainable growth,” the note underlines.
It also said that the event was a heartwarming reminder of the United States’ commitment to cultivating entrepreneurial talent and supporting women’s economic leadership in Haiti.
