Armed bandits looted and set fire to the Saint-Charles Sub-Police Station, located in the Commune of Carrefour, on the night of Monday 1 to Tuesday 2 July 2024. Before setting it on fire, they looted it by importing certain materials including around ten solar panels. They took action after being chased away by the police from the Gressier Police Station.
THE HAITI FACTOR, July 2, 2024._The return of Rameau Normil as Acting Director General of the Haitian National Police does not scare the notorious bandits. They continue to reign as “masters” and “lords” in Haiti, especially in the lost or almost lost territories.
As proof, approximately two weeks after the institution of the new Commander-in-Chief of the PNH, they continued their offensive against state infrastructures, notably those belonging to the police institution.
In fact, they attacked the Gressier Police Station on Sunday, June 30, 2024, before taking control of the building again for several hours.
However, it took the intervention of the police to chase them out of the area.
Despite everything, the gangsters have not been idle. In fact, on Monday evening, they broke into the Saint-Charles Sub-Police Station, in the Commune of Carrefour (West).
In passing, they stole more than 10 solar panels which powered the institution before setting it on fire, as evidenced by the available images.
