Jean Gasmy Antoine, an escapee from prison, more precisely from the National Penitentiary, in Port-au-Prince (West), was shot dead in the afternoon of Saturday November 2, 2024, in Les Cayes, in the South of Haiti, by the Government Commissioner of Miragoâne, Me Jean Ernest Muscadin. He was taken down near Boulevard des Quatre Chemins.
THE HAITI FACTOR, November 2, 2024._ The Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Miragoâne, Jean Ernest Muscadin continues his hunt for alleged bandits and criminals who are trying to settle in the Great South.
At the very end of the afternoon of Saturday November 2, 2024, he ended the life of Jean Gasmy Antoine, a prison escapee.
He shot him near the Boulevard des “Quatre Chemins”, in the town of Les Cayes, capital of the Southern Department of Haiti.
Sentenced to life imprisonment by Haitian justice for kidnapping, according to the testimonies of several citizens of the South, Jean Gasmy Antoine escaped from his cell, at the National Penitentiary, in Port-au-Prince, during the assaults of the bandits of the coalition ” Viv Ansanm” against the largest prison center in the country.
The attack was carried out in the evening of March 2 to 3, 2024.
After being “liberated” by the gangsters, Jean Gasmy Antoine left Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti, to go to Les Cayes (South), in the country’s 2nd city. Upon his arrival, the fugitive settled in “Ducis”. Eight (8) months later, he was killed by Commissioner Jean Ernest Muscadin, who resides in the City.
For quite some time, the City of Les Cayes has been facing an increase in acts of banditry. Recently, an alleged robber was killed there in exchanges of fire with police officers, one of whom emerged with gunshot wounds.
