As proof, the investigating magistrate in charge of the case, Me Jean Michel Séïde, heard on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, one of the suspects in the crime, Me Ronald Richemond.
The former Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance of Les Cayes spent around two hours in the judge’s box.
Upon leaving the Office of Instruction, Ronald Richemond declared: ” As a lawyer and a law-abiding person, I have no right to obstruct justice and that is why I am here before the courtroom of Judge Jean Michel Séïde after receiving an invitation from him. .»
The former resident of the Cayes Public Prosecutor’s Office, further away, pointed the finger at city politicians who accuse him of the assassination of journalist Garry Tess.
He said he fell victim to them after 5 years of loyal service and sacrifices in fighting against them who excel in drug trafficking and banditry to disturb the sleep of the Cayens.
Me Ronald Richemond said he would warn anyone who wants to use the file relating to the assassination of Garry Tess for political purposes to tarnish his image.
« I want justice to be done for Garry Tess and I remain at the disposal of the justice system to facilitate the progress of the investigation opened into the crime.”
In addition to Me Ronald Richemond, the journalist Valence Georges, Correspondent of Radio Télévision Caraïbe from the 3rd city of the country and also Director General of Radio Lebon FM, was also questioned by the investigating magistrate.
The investigating judge, Me Jean Michel Séïde, did the same for the Departmental Director of the National Police of Haiti in the South, Inspector Daniel Compère.
The latter, like Me Ronald Richemond, says he is ready to collaborate with justice while making himself at its disposal.
Gary Tess, star host of the political show “Gran Lakou”, on radio “Lebon FM”, in Les Cayes, was reported missing on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. His lifeless body was subsequently discovered almost a week later, on Monday, October 24 in the locality of “Foco”, in the city of Les Cayes.
