CFU Championship: Real du Cap and OFC finally know their opponents

After the qualification of the two Haitian teams for the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup, they finally know their opponents for the next edition of the competition.

The CONCACAF Caribbean Cup is a regional competition organized by CONCACAF which brings together 10 of the best clubs in the Caribbean. It is a competition which turns out to be of double importance. It designates the best club in the area and obtaining three places is required for the next edition of the CONCACAF Champions Cup, in 2025.

Real du Cap and Ouanaminthe Football Club found out their opponents on Thursday June 6, 2024, during the draws for the next edition which will take place between August and December 2024.

After the draw, the ten clubs split up as follows:

Group A
Mount Pleasant FA
Cavalier FC
Real Hope FA
Miscellaneous Police FC

CFU Club Shield Champion

Group B
Cibao FC
Moca FC
Ouanaminthe FC
AC Port of Spain

The first two in each group will qualify for the next phase, namely the semi-finals. And the matches will be determined according to the position of the clubs in the groups (1A against 2B and 1B against 2A). The two group winners will host the semi-final second legs.

It will be the same for third place and the Final, the best ranked clubs, will host the return matches according to the ranking of the competition considering the points of all the matches.

Dates to remember for this competition:

From August 20 to October 3, 2024: The group stages.
From October 22 to October 31, 2024: the semi-finals
November 26 and 28, 2024: Third place
December 3 and 5, 2024: The grand finale.

Please note that all CONCACAF Caribbean Cup matches will be a double header (home and away).
