Former deputy Worms Périlus, representative of the Pilate constituency during the 50th legislature, was summoned to the investigating chamber to answer questions from judge Merlan Bélabre, in the context of the scandal of misappropriation of property from the National Equipment Center (CNE), where he is cited alongside other parliamentarians and former high dignitaries.

Judge Merlan Bélabre is conducting a series of hearings as part of the investigation into the misappropriation of CNE material. Around fifty senior civil servants, former parliamentarians and state dignitaries are targeted by justice following a report by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC).

On June 12, at the summons of judge Merlan Bélabre, the former deputy Worms Périlus presented himself to the investigating office accompanied by his lawyer, the former senator Jean Rénel Sénateus. Faced with accusations of corruption and misappropriation of public assets, the former parliamentarian pledged to shed light on this affair. He claims to want to refute any rumor likely to tarnish his image and reputation.

At the same time, other people involved in the CNE affair were heard, including former president Jocelerme Privert and former senator Dr Francisco Delacruz, by judge Al Duniel Dimanche. However, only the former deputy for Ennery, Cholzer Chancy, was imprisoned. Arrest warrants were also issued by Judge Dimanche against former prime ministers such as Évans Paul, Garry Conille and others.
