Three games, three defeats for the Grenadières under 15s at the Concacaf tournament. The Haitians, under the leadership of coach Denis Meus, were crushed by the American locomotive with a resounding score of 13-0.
A heavy defeat which concludes the misadventure of the young Haitians who only managed to score one goal in the three matches played in the tournament which brought together the best nations of the Caribbean region.
Against the Americans, the reigning champions, Kerdina Lamour’s teammates were unable to stand up to the triple champions who made short work of them, the Haitians being overwhelmed by events.
A severe correction that the only Haitian goal scorer in the tournament could not avoid. Having found the back of the net against Jamaica, Kerdina Lamour, helpless, only noted the damage and the shipwreck of her team in Alajuela (Costa Rica) against the American machine.
This new three-match thrashing highlights the shortcomings in Haitian football, which is far behind the giants of Concacaf and the elite of League A.
Crushed by Costa Rica (9-0) in the first match and humiliated (13-0) by the United States in the last match, the Grenadières were unable to gain the upper hand against the Reggae Girls (second match), who beat them (2-1), despite Kerdina Lamour’s goal to reduce the score at the end of the first period.
In the end, Haiti conceded 24 goals in three games. A poor and rare performance by a Haitian team in a regional competition.
