New development in the corruption case in the Senate of the Republic transmitted to justice by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC). This Thursday, May 2, 2024, the judge responsible for investigating the case, Merlan Belabre, ordered the arrest of the Secretary General of the Senate, Marie Nelly Verpile Boyer after hearing her in the criminal investigation chamber. This file concerns his management of the Senate and the granting of debit cards to employees and individuals.
Note that the ULCC had, as part of this case, already requested the initiation of public action against several personalities such as: Joseph Lambert, Wanique Pierre, Richard Lénine Hervé Fourcand and Gracia Delva. Despite this, it is Ms. Boyer who bears the brunt in this affair. As for the others, they continue to circulate without fearing anything.
