Amid a surge of sometimes fanciful information, allegations of various material benefits and incidents of harassment are circulating, supposedly linked to the “first priorities and demands” of the nine members of the Council in Haiti. Monique Clesca, senior official of the Montana Accord, challenges the candidates for the post of Prime Minister on the importance of knowing the preamble of the April 3 Agreement, the basis of the Presidential Council. She also underlines the urgency of publishing this agreement in the official newspaper “Le Moniteur”, as a citizen.
Amid a flurry of sometimes fanciful information disseminated on social networks and traditional media, allegations concerning various material advantages, such as the purchase of nine armored vehicles, initial installation costs, or even incidents of harassment involving directors general and canvassers claiming to be members of the CPT, are currently circulating. These elements are supposed to be among the “top priorities and demands” of the nine members of the Council, thus raising questions about their veracity and relevance.
In this context, Monique Clesca, senior official of the Montana Accord, draws the attention of some 80 candidates for the post of Prime Minister to article 45 of the April 3 agreement. This article, linking the nine stakeholders of the Presidential Transitional Council, presents a summary of the main orientations of the government program that the future Prime Minister will have to implement.
“Have you read the preamble to the April 3 Agreement, which constitutes the basis for the creation of the Presidential Council in Haiti? », she asks the applicants.
She insists on the need to publish the said agreement in the official newspaper “Le Moniteur”, as a citizen.
And There you go…
It would be so much better if this Agreement of April 3 was published in the official newspaper Le Moniteur de #Haitiif only because of the clarity of the priorities of the transition roadmap.
In any case, reading the Agreement is essential pic.twitter.com/SJhPSGNklf
