In Delmas 24, Caonabo zone, armed gangs killed at least ten people and injured several others.
According to testimonies collected by Juno7, after the passage of an armored police vehicle, armed men, ambushed in houses and in particular in the Paul Lochard school, opened fire on Tuesday June 11 in the aftermath of noon, at Delmas 24, Caonabo zone, on people who were returning home after accompanying the PNH armored vehicle. This attack caused the death of around ten people and injured others, currently in hospital.
Residents of Solino, Fort National, Delmas 24 and surrounding areas have long lived under constant threat from armed groups operating in these neighborhoods. These criminals terrorize the population by regularly killing, raping and burning houses.
This morning, Wednesday June 12, new gunshots were reported around 9 a.m. by residents of the area, further exacerbating the ambient insecurity and the anxiety of residents.
Furthermore, after the assassination of the three UTAG police officers, the population of Solino expressed their solidarity with the PNH by organizing a ceremony this Wednesday morning in tribute to the police officers killed last Sunday in an ambush.
