Armed bandits of “viv ansanm” looted and burned in the middle of the day of Monday, November 18, 2024, several houses and commercial businesses located on the road to Delmas Airport, Commune of the Western Department of Haiti. The public transport company “Rotation Tour” is one of them. The gangsters also attacked the building housing “Safari Motors”. On the other hand, the National Police of Haiti (PNH) repelled them in their attempt.
THE HAITI FACTOR, November 18, 2024._A tense situation reigns on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Delmas Airport Crossroads. It results from the demonstration of armed gangs of the “Viv ansanm” coalition who attack houses and commercial businesses in the square.
In full commemoration of the 221st anniversary of the Battle of Vertières, the gangsters set fire to the premises of the public transport company called “Rotation Tour”.
In addition to the company in question, the bandits also attempted to loot and burn the company called “Safari Motors”, located between Delmas and Nazon.
At least this is what several press colleagues reported to the online newspaper LE FACTEUR HAITI.
However, it took the urgent intervention of agents of the Haitian National Police to thwart their criminal attempt.
After the PNH response, the bandits continue their offensives against the areas of Delmas 13, 17, 28 and 30, among others, where families are emptying their homes.
Aside from scenes of looting and arson, detonations are also reported on the Airport road, resulting from clashes between police officers in armored vehicles and armed bandits.
