In an official press release issued on August 22, 2024, the Directorate of Immigration and Emigration (DIE), under the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities (MICT), informed the population that 11,770 pending passports have successfully passed the control stage. These documents are now ready to be delivered to their applicants.
The DIE specified that the production of passports will resume on Monday, August 26, 2024. According to the institution, this resumption will be marked by the adoption of an improved methodology, aimed at strengthening the efficiency of its services.
The management, led by Stéphane Vincent, salutes the commitment of all staff who worked actively to overcome this crucial stage. Arrangements have been put in place to ensure smoother production and accelerated delivery of documents.
