A high-altitude trough characterizes the weather conditions in the Greater Antilles, including Haiti. This high-altitude trough located east of the Dominican Republic makes the air mass a little humid and unstable, informs the Haitian weather service.
This situation risks causing thunderstorms across the country, reports the Hydrometeorological Unit of Haiti (UHM) which warns that flash floods remain possible in the Sud and Grand-Anse departments.
These rainy activities are expected in the afternoon and evening, indicates the UHM, which also announces light to moderate rain showers in Port-au-Prince, whose minimum temperature could drop to 22 degrees Celsius.
The sky over the Haitian capital will be windy during the day and then cloudy in the afternoon, according to the UHM which indicates that the maximum temperature for this August 26 is 37 degrees Celsius.
The sun will set at 6:34 pm this Monday.
