The governor of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti, Gabriel Ronald, announced that the Haiti Invest project has mobilized more than 30 million dollars, created more than 1,000 jobs and supported more than twenty businesses. During the closing ceremony on June 14, Ronald thanked the partners, notably USAID, MEDA and DAI, for their contribution to this project launched in 2018 with the objective of stimulating private investments and facilitating the financing of SMEs.
Gabriel Ronald commended the impact of the project on financial inclusion and education of entrepreneurs, highlighting that 1,087 jobs were created and $31 million mobilized during the six years of the project.
The governor also mentioned other BRH initiatives, such as financing for reconstruction and agricultural credits, and renewed the bank’s commitment to supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with programs like Booster PME to promote further financial inclusion.
