Six football teams from different categories triumphed during the 11th edition of the football tournament called “Flagday”.

The 11th edition of the “Flagday” football tournament concluded in style on May 18, coinciding with the celebration of the Haitian flag. The event, which began on February 23, was organized by Full Moun Production in partnership with the FC Toro. The grand final was held at Sainte-Thérèse Park in Pétion-Ville, showcasing both the Haitian flag and national football.

Champions by category

The tournament saw the participation of several teams from different categories, each demonstrating an impressive level of talent and determination. Here are the results by category:

  • U19: FC Toro de PV won against FC Toro Fica with a score of 3-1, thus winning the championship title.
  • U11: FC Toro beat FC Shana 3-0
  • U13: FC Toro triumphed against Union NAC with a score of 3-1.
  • U15: FC Flambo won against FC Legends after an intense penalty shootout.
  • U17: FC Toro Fica beat MDM on penalties.
  • U19: In a hotly contested final, FC Toro triumphed against FC Seth on penalties.
Reactions and perspectives

Pudens Saint-Louis, responsible for media coverage of the tournament, expressed his satisfaction with the success of this edition despite the many challenges. “Because of the degrading situation in the country in recent months, we have encountered many difficulties. But, together with the participating teams, we overcame the problems leading to the closure of this eleventh edition,” he said.
